The public index for AI model torrents

drforbin.ai catalogs magnet links for open-weight AI models — language models, diffusion models, speech models, embeddings — with the technical metadata that matters: quantization, parameter count, context length, exact file size, license, and a link to the official model card.

Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. Only models whose licenses permit redistribution of the weights are accepted. We index; we never host.

The name

Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970) imagined a superintelligence locked in a mountain, hoarding its power. Dr. Forbin built it. We borrowed his name and inverted the premise: the weights that power intelligence belong in as many hands, on as many disks, in as many countries as possible. Distribution is the safeguard.

Principles

• Legality and trust first. Open licenses only, index-only operation, and a fast, documented [takedown process](/legal/takedown/).
• Magnets and infohashes are first-class. Filenames lie; content addresses don't.
• Metadata quality over listing volume. A listing you can't evaluate is noise.
• Official releases beat mirrors. We badge creator-submitted magnets and would rather link yours than anyone's re-up.
